ABOUT THE LASH BAR

Lots of things have led up to The Lash Bar (see Tyler’s about me!), so let’s rewind to July of 2018. That’s back where it all started and Tyler (The Lash Bar owner) began her independent journey at The Rustic Pear salon in the heart of downtown Twin Falls as Mai Tai Aesthetics. In 2018, she offered any service she could to get the schedule packed— full body waxing, facials, lash extensions. At this point, the Lash Bar wasn’t a thought yet, but the world works in mysterious ways and by October of that same year Tyler’s books were full with lash extension clients. After that holiday season her wheels began turning— she had created a reputation for handling lashes with extreme care and attentiveness in the Magic Valley and had the itch to create something more. With that in mind, she also considered her other passions (family, travel, etc.) and thought about what would need to be done to have both a book full of services and everything else she wanted to do. And that’s when it clicked… she needed to create a space those same clients could come to, with or without her providing their service, and feel the work was consistent and they were in the same care.

Fast forward through two years of preparation and the idea came to fruition, The Lash Bar opened its doors May 18, 2020.

The Lash Bar was set to open in March of 2020 but luckily Tyler was able to postpone just days before the state shut down and was out of work for 10 weeks (what a crazy year!). Thanks to loyal clients, and employees there were no issues when we came across this hurdle.

Now, over a year into this business, passion, and lifestyle, we have 3 technicians on staff, we offer lash extension certifications, and are also completely stocked in lash supplies (Lashbox LA specifically) for all our other local artists. The services we offer include all things eyelash extensions, lash lifting, lash tinting, brow laminations, brow tinting, and brow waxing.

We could say this is only the beginning but who are we fooling! We love our clients, community and all the connections we make through The Lash Bar and we are so glad you’re always down for the next thing with us.

MEET THE TEAM

Hi, I'm Tyler

It’s about time we put some faces on our page, mine included. Although I thought this type of thing wasn’t a necessity, I have since learned it is crucial for all of our people to recognize the face(s) behind The Lash Bar.

For starters— and for those of you who haven’t met me *yet*— my name is Tyler McArthur. I am a 27 year old business woman with a ton of drive and passion for this industry. I have been in the Beauty industry for over 10 years now! One of the closest people in my life introduced me to the world of professional makeup at the very ripe age 14. Since then, I have worked in two makeup stores, managed a cosmetic counter, found my passion in skincare, attended Oliver Finley in Boise for Aesthetics, Graduated, moved back to the Magic Valley, and started what I thought would be my career—Mai Tai Aesthetics. Little did I know Mai Tai Aesthetics was just the beginning of it all. I’m so happy you’re present and here for my current venture, The Lash Bar.

I am 3x certified in eyelash extensions. Each certificate in every style : classic, hybrid, volume, and mega-volume. I have also been instructing lash courses for over a year now and have really come to enjoy that aspect of my career. Helping other artists understand and appreciate the art of lashing is very fulfilling.

When I’m not physically at the salon taking clients, stocking shelves, pulling orders, or cleaning, you can most likely find me on my phone responding to client inquiries, ordering product or maybe you’ll find me at home in my office running payroll or taking inventory. Although that is the reality of owning a business I wouldn’t change it for the world. I am so invested in building this brand now so that later when I get to slow down and prioritize my other passions like family and travel, I can— that’s the ultimate goal isn’t it?

Ok but really, down to the nitty gritty, here are some of the “non-Aesthetician” things about me:

I was born and raised in Wendell, Idaho. I met my husband the year before I graduated high school and we got married in 2019. We own two rottweilers, Leni & Goose, who are our children. We have recently gotten into fish and let’s just say that escalated quickly. We have 4 tanks that are filled with live plants, multiple types of fish, and two baby turtles. My husband and I like to “go” a lot. Most of our free time is filled with hiking, kayaking, camping, helping both our families farm, relaxing indoors or outdoors and any combination of those things.

Hi, I'm Alma

Hello beautiful people! My name is Alma Husejnagić (Who-say-naw-gich) and I’m a licensed esthetician and Certified lash technician at The Lash Bar. I have experience in classic, hybrid and volume lash extensions with hopes of adding mega volumes very soon.

I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Boise in 2019 when I realized that after working a few different jobs and serving for 4 years I needed to do something I was going to love and enjoy. And let me tell you I haven’t looked back on that decision since, even if I do have student loans to pay off now! The beauty industry is great because it’s constantly evolving and I feel like it’s important to stay up to date with how quick things change so I will continue my growth and education whenever the opportunity presents itself. The reason I love lashing is because I get to be creative with each individual set and try out different styles, colors, lengths and techniques for each and every one of you!

I was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and moved to the states when I was 5 years old and have been here ever since, and yes I am bilingual and can definitely say something in Bosnian for ya! Outside of work you can catch me hanging out with my friends, binge watching Netflix, getting yummy food or sleeping which in that case you probably won’t see me!

Hi, I'm Kaylee

Hi there! My name is Kaylee. I am a licensed esthetician and certified lash technician here at The Lash Bar!

I attended Aveda Twin Falls a few years out of high school after realizing I was very unhappy in life and needed a change! After much thought and a boring desk job, I found something that actually interested me, my skin!

I am extremely lucky to have been offered a position at The Lash Bar before I even graduated school! This pushed me to get my license shortly after graduating, which I didn t think I would do. I am very grateful to have met Tyler and be able to grow my career with these wonderful ladies and role models by my side!

Now, a little about me.

⚪️I was born and raised in Alabama (No, I don t have an accent 😅)

⚪️My most favorite things on this beautiful planet we live on are sunsets and sunrises 🌅, singing 🎤, and animals!🐶

⚪️I love making connections with new people and being able to relate to others! 😊
